Overview on Wood Allergies and Toxicity- this site has a great chart you might want to check out before turning Yew, Osage Orange, or that fancy exotic! Members confirmed reactions from a number of woods listed here.

Bob noted there are a lot of species of maple- 191 Acers! Check them out here.
