High school art teachers throughout the county select their students’ best work for display and for submission to the Congressional Art Competition. Competitions such as this are held in each congressional district nationwide each spring. The first place winning artwork from this exhibition will be sent to Washington, D.C., where it will represent Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District and be displayed in the corridors of the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol for a year.
