14th Juried Exhibition April 18 – May 24
Sculpture New Hope 2015 opens at New Hope Arts with reception and awards event on Saturday April 18, 6 -8 pm continuing through May 24. For more than 14 years New Hope Arts has showcased contemporary sculpture in this uniquely curated exhibition currently featuring 44 artists from the region and beyond.
The widening circle of participating artists includes a variety of media and methods selected by jurors Scot Kaylor of Philadelphia and Jennifer Miller, Director of the Tyler Center for the Arts in Bucks County. Both national and regional entries include a number of artists new to this venue, expanding the array of contemporary work featured in this year’s show. The Sculpture Exhibition at New Hope Arts is always a much anticipated and enthusiastically received presentation for artists and viewers alike.
Awards for six outstanding art works selected by the jurors will include commentary on their choices. Cash prizes presented by New Hope Arts and other donors recognize diversity of concept and material from traditional to innovative pieces.
Raymond Mathis, an accomplished regional sculptor, is donating one of his Tutto Metal Design Studio edition works, an exquisite bronze paint brush door handle, for raffle for the benefit of New Hope Arts during the exhibition.
