Membership in Bucks Woodturners brings you into contact with a
large number of other woodturners, and no matter what your specific
interest is (segmented turning, hollow vessels, bowls, etc.), you'll
find someone who also specializes in that, and who will willingly
share their knowledge.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced turner, seeing the
work of others, and then discussing it with them, or watching them
actually do a demonstration will generate new ideas for you to apply
to your own work. Also, the HOW (Hands On Workshops) series where
members teach specific turning techniques in day-long sessions will
help enhance your abilities. Just one word of warning if you are
a beginner--this stuff is definitely addictive!

The Bucks Woodturners Club Library
One of the significant benefits of membership is our Club Library
of books and videotapes, all related to Woodturning. The collection
of almost two hundred items is constantly growing as new items are
obtained frequently. You will find books and videos relevant to all
stages of interest: for beginners, intermediate, and experienced
turners, by noted artists and practitioners. In addition, there are
numerous video tapes taken at the American Association of Woodturners
annual conventions, featuring demonstrations of special techniques
and the critiques of turnings displayed at the Show and Tell Instant
Gallery. Further, we have a series of videos of famous collections
of the woodturning art held by noted collectors. All library items
are available for borrowing by BWT members. The standard policy allows
two items per month per member, and operates on the Honor System.
